Our Story

Orchard is more than a restaurant—it’s an extension of The Cider Farm, our 166-acre organic orchard in Mineral Point, WI, where we, John and Deirdre, have spent nearly two decades growing rare English and French cider apples to craft exceptional dry ciders and apple brandy. With Deirdre managing the orchard and John overseeing the business, our commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship runs deep. After starting with a tasting room in Madison, we created Orchard to pair our ciders with locally sourced, seasonal dishes in a true farm-to-table experience. Unlike any other restaurant in Madison, Orchard is built on the very farm that inspires it—bringing together fresh flavors, artisanal beverages, and a community that values sustainability. Whether you’re here for a meal, a drink on our patio, or live music on the weekends, we invite you to experience the passion and purpose behind everything we do.
